Great Gifts

The holiday season is upon us--whether we are ready for it or not! At this time of the year, I'm busy with holiday boutiques and putting together my own special gift ideas for my customers and anyone who is looking for great gifts at affordable prices.

My first new pieces include a beautiful selection of scarves together with Cookie Lee cuffs and bracelets. In these chilly winter days, I love to wear a scarf to keep me warm. When wearing a scarf, covering up the neck area, I use this as an opportunity to glam up my wrists, fingers or my ears! This means great cuffs, stretchy bracelets and rings, and glammed up earrings.

My selection of scarves sell for $12-$15 each OR buy a scarf with a cuff, set of bracelets or earrings for $25-$35. Perfect gifts for a girlfriend, wife, teacher, sister, sister-in-law and any woman who loves fashion!

New Fall Finds

I love opening packages in the mail from something I recently ordered online! This week I received two goodies that I know are going to be put to great use this fall.

From Overstock.com, I received two fabulous fashion totes to hold all of my daily essentials! From business meetings to football games to the mall or to cheerleading, I know all of my stuff will fit into these two totes as I go about my daily business of work and supporting my 3 kids in all of their endeavors. Both totes are the Unlisted brand from Kenneth Cole and both held a regular retail price of $79. With Overstock.com I paid just $22 for each with FREE shipping charges--two for the price of one (can't beat that)! One is a basic patent leather all black tote and the other is a snake-skin style navy/black print. I'm going to put one of them to use this weekend! :)

My second purchase for the week was an order of AVON from my wonderful friend Sue. Sue's daughter and my daughter attend the same school so I know I will always get what I want, went I want it! The eight in one eye shadow includes "water colors" from soft browns to soft blues and greys. Can't wait to mix those up with my new ultra rich lipstick in "never so nude".

My New Pieces & My Inspiration

Just out of the Cookie Lee Fall/Winter 2010 catalog here are some of my jewelry pics for the fall season. I love them all!

People ask me all the time where I get my jewelry from and how I put together such fabulous outfits with great looking jewelry. The secret is... that there really is no secret! :) But for me it usually starts with the pictures below.

I need to see my jewelry every day to envision what each piece looks like and how it will match up with my everyday wardrobe. Above is a picture of my jewelry table with neck displays. The neck displays come from www.jewelrysupply.com and range in price from $2 to $10 depending on the size, color and quantity. If you don't have jewelry displays, I also use simple jewelry holders I find at Claire's,  Ross, Marshalls etc. Any type of holder or display will work as long as you are able to see what your options are.

Depending on how I'm feeling for the day, I might want to be simple yet elegant wearing just one necklace with a basic gold or silver hoop, glam it up with 2 necklaces using a combination of long & short for a meeting or presentation or make a statement with a bib style necklace or pair of big statement earrings. No matter how I'm feeling I always reach for bangle bracelets, stretchy bracelets or a cuff. I don't worry about being "matchy matchy" anymore---wearing Cookie Lee jewelry is about having fun with great looking, affordable jewelry and it will always look great however its put together.

Right now I'm working on a fabulous outfit for a November wedding. The shoes are really my statement piece so I'm not sure how I will fit in my jewelry. I'm sure I'll come up with something great!

Momma Time

So this beautiful picture was taken over the weekend while my mom was in town for a long weekend visit. Mom, daughter and granddaughter--always a blessing to have 3 generations in one place at the same time since we live in LA and my mom lives in Sacramento.

All 3 of us are wearing Cookie Lee jewelry on a hot Saturday afternoon for a family Bridal Shower.

Jewels & More

It's been a long week of work, flag football tryouts, basketball playoffs, Back to School Nights and I don't think I have time for very much else. Well, I always have time for Cookie Lee and sharing beautiful jewelry with family, friends and more.

Below is a picture of what a Cookie Lee jewelry table would like like once it's all set-up for a show. As a consultant, I bring all the jewelry, set-up the table and let the ladies shop and have fun. Purchases can be made and taken home the same night (gotta love that instant gratification) or can also be ordered and delivered within a week. I also like to encourage attendees to bring their favorite outfit to accessorize or have an idea of something specific they might like to shop for like jazzing up a favorite little black dress, preparing a professional look for an interview or presentation, or just everyday fun jewelry for any occasion.

Weekend Fun

Started my day off with a 6 mile run around Balboa Park in preparation for my first LA Rock n Roll 1/2 Marathon in October! 6 weeks and counting! Now getting ready for boys baketball games then off to San Diego for some fun with family. Already a busy morning as usual!

Here's me getting ready wearing jewelry from the new Fall/Winter 2010 Cookie Lee catalog. This piece is the Jet Petals Necklace found on page 40. The fun part is the flower petal is de-tachable so I can remove and it to my jacket or purse! I love when pieces are multi-functional! Page 40 of the catalog pairs the jet necklace with the Tuxedo Pearl Necklace which I also love for a little more of a glam-rock, sophisticated look. I'm working on putting some outfits and jewelry together for San Diego!

Have a super weekend! To view the entire Fall/Winter 2010 catalog visit my website

The Cookie Connection

Got home from work today and there it was---the Fall/Winter 2010 Cookie Connection magazine! I love to read it cover to cover, look at the pictures for inspiration and refer to it often for tips and motivation. The magazine is all things Cookie Lee---from recognition to personal stories to how to grow your business and keep creating ideas to empower yourself to take your business to the next level. Whether you are a consultant or not, it's just great reading for any woman who is thinking of starting her own business.

My favorite pages are 16 & 17 which show how to wear the jewelry for every occasion---from dress up to dress down! It's perfect!

Getting Ready for Fall Fashion

A simple shopping trip for back to school for my kids turned into a bit of a fall fashion preview for me over the weekend. I'm a big fan of fashion but also love the Looks for Less idea! With 3 growing kids, I can only afford to shop smart. So I decided to buy a few key pieces to get me started.

First on my list was a military-inspired utility jacket spotted at Kohl's for $27.99. Love that price and can't wait to wear it! I'm thinking black jeans and booties with a junky Cookie Lee necklace.

Next on my list I found peep toes Candies clogs for $33.99 also at Kohl's. I already wore them with a simple black summer dress with a purple scarf for a splash of color! I'm sure I'll be sporting them all throughout the fall season.

And lastly, also from Kohl's a rich, royal  blue rocker-inspired blouse with black pipping for a whopping $18.99. I'm thinking black, skinny Calvin Klein jeans, new Candies clogs and there's the perfect night out outfit!

Some of my favorite shop for less stores are Kohl's, JC Penny, Sears, Old Navy, and Target. If I'm looking to spend a little more on a quality piece or a special occasion then Macy's is alwasy a favorite, Ann Taylor, White House/Black Market, Banana Republic, Urban Outfitters and J Crew just to name a few. Although I'm interested in saving where I can, I'm not opposed to paying a little more for quality pieces I know will last.

Can't wait to start putting my outfits together with all of my fun Cookie Lee jewelry. See my new pieces below!

Back From Vegas!

So Vegas was super fun & hot! Whenever you get a large group of girls together there is bound to be fun and drama all mixed into one! And this was no exception:)  Sitting pool side, sipping on margarita's was the BEST! Busy moms get those opportunities only so often so soaking it up was nice. The bride to be and all of her friends were sweet, full of energy and super fun! The picture below sums it all up!

Vegas Baby!

So I'm mentally preparing myself for a weekend of fun girl time in Vagas in honor of my cousin Maritza's Bachelorette party who is preparing to take the long walk down the isle to her honey Chris! They are both super sweet and in-love! Can't wait for the wedding in November! But that's a different blog!

With 3 kids, full time work, husband and all the coordination it takes to get us moving I really am looking forward to this Vegas getaway! Sipping margaritas by the pool, enjoying the Vegas sun, a fun pole dancing class, and a night of dancing await me and the 10 other fun girls joining us! Staying at PH should also be a real treat since I've never stayed there before.

I'm packing my LBD, favorite jeans, bathing suit (argh!) and all the fabulous Cookie Lee jewlery I can find. I took some pictures of the pieces I'm going to bring along for my fabulous Vegas weekend!

Tune in next time for updates on our Vegas weekend!
